- Historical terrorist acts and current threats
- Legal requirements and establishing a security culture
- Organisational structure and the implemented security responsibilities within function of flight crew
- Reporting security threats and occurrences
- Responding to security incidents
- determination of the seriousness of the occurrence;
- crew communication and coordination;
- appropriate self-defence responses
- use of non-lethal protective devices assigned to crew members
- understanding of behaviour of terrorists so as to facilitate the ability of crew members to cope with hijacker behaviour and passenger responses;
- Cabin Crew live situational training exercises regarding various threat conditions;
- Flight Crew compartment procedures to protect the aircraft;
- Aircraft search procedures
- The legal requirements for aircraft security searches;
- Configuration of the type(s) of aircraft on which the Crew member is to implement aircraft security searches;
- Identify prohibited articles;
- Respond appropriately to the detection of prohibited articles;
- How prohibited articles may be concealed;
- Implement aircraft security searches to a standard sufficient to reasonably ensure the detection of concealed prohibited articles.
- Guidance on the least risk bomb locations.

This course is for pilots and cabin personnel.
Prerequisites
Flight Crew is required to be type rated for specific aircraft.
Cabin Crew member is required to hold a Cabin Crew Attest.
Exam
An exam will be part of the qualification.
Qualification
The crew member will be holding a valid qualification for three years, according to the EU regulations on Aviation Security and Air Operations.
Duration of the course
The course will take place in 8 hours.
